Versatile PhD The Versatile PhD is an online service that helps PhD students explore the wide range of career options available. Interfolio users can store any materials you may need for your applications, including confidential letters of recommendation. Interfolio Dossier Service Managing, storing and distributing your application materials can be a stressful task. PhD and Postdoc Students Office HoursĪll PhD students can attend office hours throughout the week. All appointments can be found in Handshake, under Career Center. Half-hour appointments are available virtually with Mark Savage or Sonjala Williams.
Engineering for Professionals Students Workshops You also can meet with staff on campus throughout the week for unscheduled appointments, or with a graduate-specific peer advisor affiliated with the Life Design Lab. Grad-specific workshops help you tailor your resume, interview skills, and job search to your talents. This keeps you in the loop with your specific industry, adds you to our targeted email list, and garners invites when employers are on campus. You should also choose a Career Academy in the Career Interests section. Take the time to fill our your profile and select your post-grad career plans and career interests, which will allow employers who are hiring students with advanced degrees to find you. Handshake: for All StudentsĬreate and keep an updated profile in Handshake to get access to events, resources, jobs, employers and appointments. Connect with the Life Design Lab via Handshake to find office hours and drop-in hours, at general events or graduate-specific events. This could be for software, computers, a high-speed internet connection, and/or whatever you would expect your student to have in order to do their job well.While Masters, PhD and Postdoc students are welcome to attend events for undergraduates, including Career Academy events, employer info sessions and career fairs. That being said, we highly recommend that you consider an additional stipend or service to support students with their technology needs during your internship. We are offering this program to our hiring partners at no cost.
